Starbucks stock is currently negative, McDonald’s reports an E. Coli outbreak and a Boeing-built satellite broke up earlier this week. It may feel like there is a deluge of bad news right now, but there is always a way to find reassurance and grounding during times of uncertainty. 

How do we process when bad news is in the market? What we can look towards is the market itself. While the news tells us is a narrative, the market shows us the numbers. A good reality check is to look and see how much bad news has been “priced in”. During this time, we continue to focus on any signs of a storm, signs that a storm is ending, and signs that the medicine is working.
